DISCLAIMER
Last Updated: March 24, 2026
This disclaimer applies to all services, products, and content provided by Alibi Protocol, including the mobile application, the $ALIBI token, the landing page, the whitepaper, and all associated documentation. By using any Alibi Protocol product or service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this disclaimer in its entirety.
1. AI GUIDANCE IS NOT LEGAL ADVICE
The AI-powered legal guidance provided by Alibi Protocol is generated by a large language model (Claude by Anthropic) and is intended for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal advice, nor does it create an attorney-client relationship between you and Alibi Protocol, its developers, or any affiliated party.
AI-generated responses may contain inaccuracies, outdated information, or guidance that does not apply to your specific jurisdiction or circumstances. Laws vary significantly by state, county, and municipality. The AI system may not reflect the most recent legal developments, case law, or statutory changes.
In any encounter with law enforcement, your personal safety is the highest priority. Nothing in this application should be interpreted as encouraging confrontation, resistance, or any action that could endanger your safety. Always comply with lawful orders and consult a licensed attorney for legal advice specific to your situation.
If you are facing criminal charges, have been arrested, or believe your rights have been violated, contact a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction immediately. Alibi Protocol is not a substitute for professional legal representation.
2. $ALIBI TOKEN — NOT A SECURITY
The $ALIBI token is a utility token on the Solana blockchain designed to facilitate Proof-of-Active-Navigation (PoAN) rewards and community governance within the Alibi Protocol ecosystem. The $ALIBI token is not a security, investment contract, share, equity, debt instrument, or any form of financial product.
The $ALIBI token has not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or under the securities laws of any state or other jurisdiction. Alibi Protocol does not make any representation regarding the legality of the $ALIBI token in any jurisdiction, and it is your responsibility to ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
The value of $ALIBI tokens may fluctuate significantly and may decrease to zero. Past performance is not indicative of future results. You should not purchase, hold, or use $ALIBI tokens if you are seeking financial returns or expect any form of profit from your participation.
Participation in cryptocurrency and blockchain-based projects involves substantial risk, including the potential for complete loss of all contributed funds. Only participate with funds you can afford to lose entirely. Alibi Protocol and its contributors make no guarantees regarding token value, liquidity, or market availability.
3. NOT FINANCIAL OR INVESTMENT ADVICE
Nothing on this website, in the whitepaper, tokenomics documentation, pitch deck, or any other Alibi Protocol communication constitutes financial advice, investment advice, trading advice, or any recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any cryptocurrency, token, or digital asset.
All community contributions support the development of open-source civil rights protection infrastructure. They are not investments, and contributors should have no expectation of profit, returns, or value appreciation.
Before making any financial decisions related to cryptocurrency, consult with a qualified financial advisor, accountant, or tax professional who understands your personal financial situation and the regulations of your jurisdiction.
4. BLOCKCHAIN EVIDENCE VAULTING
Alibi Protocol stores cryptographic hashes (SHA-256) of evidence recordings on the Solana blockchain. This creates a tamper-proof proof-of-existence timestamp for the recorded evidence. However, anchoring a hash on-chain does not guarantee the admissibility, authenticity, or legal weight of the underlying evidence in any court of law.
The admissibility of blockchain-anchored evidence varies by jurisdiction and is subject to the rules of evidence applicable in each court. Judges and courts have broad discretion regarding the admission of digital evidence. Alibi Protocol makes no representation that vaulted evidence will be accepted in any legal proceeding.
The original recording files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to any server or to the blockchain itself. If you lose your device or delete the application without backing up your recordings, the original evidence files will be permanently lost, regardless of the on-chain hash.
5. SMART CONTRACT AUDIT STATUS
As of the date of this disclaimer, the Alibi Protocol smart contracts have not been independently audited by a third-party security firm. While the development team has implemented security best practices, unaudited smart contracts may contain vulnerabilities, bugs, or exploits that could result in loss of funds or other adverse outcomes.
Users interact with all Alibi Protocol smart contracts entirely at their own risk. The audit status is displayed transparently on the landing page and will be updated if and when an independent audit is completed.
6. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
Alibi Protocol integrates with third-party services including Anthropic (Claude AI), Solana (blockchain), Phantom (wallet), and Google Maps (navigation). These services are operated independently and are subject to their own terms of service, privacy policies, and availability guarantees.
Alibi Protocol is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, security, or performance of any third-party service. Service outages, API changes, or third-party policy modifications may affect the functionality of the Alibi Protocol application without notice.
7. DEPIN REWARDS AND EARNINGS
Proof-of-Active-Navigation (PoAN) rewards are earned by contributing GPS navigation data to the decentralized network. Reward amounts are algorithmic and decrease over time through progressive difficulty decay. The $ALIBI token rewards have no guaranteed monetary value.
The DePIN reward system includes anti-abuse mechanisms including speed gates, cooldown timers, daily caps, and device attestation checks. Attempts to game, spoof, or manipulate the reward system may result in forfeiture of rewards and suspension from the network.
8. RECORDING LAWS AND CONSENT
Audio and video recording laws differ significantly across jurisdictions. Some states and countries require all-party consent (all participants in a conversation must consent to being recorded), while others only require one-party consent. It is your sole responsibility to understand and comply with the recording laws applicable in your jurisdiction.
Alibi Protocol does not advise on the legality of recording in any specific situation. Using the recording features of the application in violation of applicable wiretapping, eavesdropping, or surveillance laws may subject you to criminal penalties and civil liability.
9. NO WARRANTY
All Alibi Protocol services, products, and content are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without any warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. This includes, without limitation, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.
Alibi Protocol does not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any information provided through the application, including AI-generated legal guidance.
10. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alibi Protocol, its developers, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the services.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory under which such damages are claimed, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or otherwise, even if Alibi Protocol has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. JURISDICTIONAL RESTRICTIONS
Alibi Protocol services may not be available or may not be legal in all jurisdictions. It is your responsibility to ensure that your use of the services complies with all applicable laws, regulations, and restrictions in your jurisdiction. Access to the services from jurisdictions where their use is illegal or restricted is expressly prohibited.
This disclaimer shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New Hampshire, without regard to its conflicts of law provisions.
12. MODIFICATIONS
Alibi Protocol reserves the right to modify, update, or revise this disclaimer at any time without prior notice. Changes are effective immediately upon publication on this page. Your continued use of any Alibi Protocol service after modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated disclaimer.
We recommend reviewing this disclaimer periodically to stay informed of any changes.
